High Tide Foundation was honoured to be chosen as the charity partner for the Ward Hadaway International Women’s Day event held at the beautiful Wynyard Hall. It was an afternoon none of us will forget in a hurry.
News and PR
Our Director, Claire Preston, attended alongside three remarkable young students who had taken part in High Tide programmes the previous Term. Each of them spoke in front of a room of business leaders and professionals and spoke with confidence, clarity and heart about the difference those experiences had made to them.
To watch those young men take the floor and own the room was a moment that captured everything High Tide is about. They weren’t just telling their stories – they were demonstrating exactly the kind of confidence, aspiration and self-belief that our programmes are designed to nurture. “The best day of my life” was overheard on departure.
“My experience at High Tide has been amazing. It has helped me to be able to see all of the different opportunities in and around Middlesbrough.”
Harry, Year 9, Middlesbrough
The event raised approximately £1,300 for High Tide, which will go directly into delivering more of the programmes that created those very moments. We are deeply grateful to Laura Wilson and Ward Hadaway for choosing to partner with us and to everyone who attended, donated and cheered on our brilliant young ambassadors.
